Comprehensive, Restorative & Implant Dentistry

Dr. Dale F Spadafora

One of fewer than 1% of dentists in the United States to earn Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Dale Spadafora is a restorative and implant dentist based in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, where he has built a practice centered on precision, compassion, and long-term patient relationships. For more than three decades, he has provided comprehensive dental care ranging from preventative and restorative dentistry to advanced implant and full-arch rehabilitation, helping patients restore both oral health and confidence. Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Spadafora remains deeply committed to continuing education, mentorship, and leadership within the dental profession.

Dr. Spadafora is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD)—a distinction earned by fewer than one percent of dentists in the United States. He was one of the youngest dentists to achieve this honor. The Mastership designation signifies completion of more than 1,100 hours of continuing education beyond dental school, along with passing a rigorous comprehensive examination. Since receiving the award in 2002, Dr. Spadafora continues to pursue over 100 hours of continuing education annually, ensuring his patients benefit from the most advanced techniques and technologies in modern dentistry.

He has also received the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) from the Academy of General Dentistry—one of the organization’s highest honors. This award recognizes dentists who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to continuing education and professional service throughout their careers. To achieve LLSR status, dentists must complete more than 1,600 hours of continuing education, maintain Mastership status, and contribute significant service to organized dentistry and their communities. Only a small number of dentists nationwide have achieved this distinction.

Top Dentists Award 2017-2018

After earning his Bachelor of Science from Penn State University, Dr. Spadafora obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In 1991 he completed a General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, where he received advanced training in comprehensive dental care.

His dedication to lifelong learning has led him to train at many of dentistry’s most respected educational institutes, including The Dawson Academy, Spear Education, Implant Educators, the Misch Implant Institute, the Pikos Institute for advanced implant surgery and bone grafting, and PRF EDU, where he has studied regenerative techniques and biologic approaches to modern implant dentistry.

In addition, Dr. Spadafora has earned Fellowship and Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the organization’s highest distinction in implant dentistry.

Dr. Spadafora currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry (PAGD), where he helps lead initiatives that promote lifelong learning, professional collaboration, and improved access to high-quality dental care throughout the Commonwealth. His leadership within organized dentistry reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing the profession and supporting fellow dentists in providing the highest level of patient care.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Spadafora is actively involved in advancing implant dentistry education nationwide. As Chief Clinical Officer and Lead Educator for Stabili-Teeth, he lectures and provides hands-on surgical and restorative training to dentists across the country, teaching modern protocols for full-arch implant rehabilitation with an emphasis on predictable outcomes and patient-centered care.

Over the years, Dr. Spadafora has received numerous professional honors. He has been recognized as a Top Dentist in Pittsburgh Magazine, named one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America, and included in Best of the United States and The Best of the Best – Dentistry by The Herald.

Outside the dental office, Dale enjoys a variety of personal passions. A proud Penn State alumnus, he serves on the Eberly College of Science Alumni Board, mentoring students and supporting future healthcare professionals. He also enjoys beekeeping, making artisanal pizzas as a self-proclaimed pizza aficionado, music, travel, and Penn State football, and he values time spent with his wife Dee and their children Isabella and Sergio.

Dr. Spadafora believes dentistry is about far more than teeth—it is about restoring confidence, improving health, and building relationships that last a lifetime.
