All members of our team are here for one purpose—to create your signature smile. At the head of our team is Dr. Dale Spadafora. As a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Spadafora has extensive experience and education in dentistry and holds his profession in the highest regard.

Dale Spadafora, DMD, MAGD

A Master in Dentistry

Dr. Dale Spadafora is a Master in dentistry -- literally. He is Director of Continuing Education in the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, he was one of the youngest dentists to achieve Mastership status, an award earned by less than one percent of dentists in the country because it is so difficult to attain. The initials after his name (MAGD) signify Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, meaning he has taken more than 1,100 hours of continuing education beyond dental school, and he has passed a stringent examination. Since achieving the award in 2002, Dr. Spadafora continues to accumulate over 100 continuing education hours each year. With these prestigious qualifications, you can be assured you are in the hands of an accomplished dentist—someone in the top one percent of his profession. In the entire state of Pennsylvania, only 60 dentists have achieved the Mastership status.

Education

After he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, Dr. Spadafora obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In 1991, he completed a general practice residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. In 2002, he was one of the youngest recipients to receive the rare and coveted Mastership award from the AGD. Dr. Spadafora has also completed and passed the Standard Laser Proficiency Exam in the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2009, he received the Fellowship award in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Spadafora is honored to offer presentations to his colleagues in the Pennsylvania AGD PEAK Mastership group, as well.

Recognition

In addition to awards and positions previously noted, Dr. Spadafora has also been the recipient of several honors. He was named one of “America's Top Dentists” by the Consumer Research Council of America, is listed in Best of the United States (www.bestofus.com), and named in “The Best of the Best—Dentistry 2007” in The Herald.

Personal

Dr. Spadafora is married to Deanna, and together they have two children. After hours, Dr. Spadafora coaches youth soccer teams and is involved with church and community activities.
